The Ping G440 Max Thriver ingeniously combines existing Ping technologies to offer a unique solution for golfers seeking enhanced tee shot consistency. Conceived by Ping's VP of Fitting & Performance Marty Jertson, it utilizes a 12-degree G440 Max driver head paired with a 3-wood shaft cut to 3-wood length. The G440 Max driver technology underpinning the Thriver is engineered for maximum forgiveness and distance, featuring Free-Hosel Technology that deepens the center of gravity (CG) for increased ball speed and optimized launch. Its thinner, hotter face design ensures faster ball speeds across the entire hitting surface, complemented by a lighter overall weight and shorter shaft to maintain swing control. The CarbonFly Wrap crown contributes to a lower CG and greater forgiveness, while a heavier, adjustable back weight allows for precise shot shape adjustments. Furthermore, the Trajectory Tuning 2.0 adjustable hosel provides golfers with the ability to fine-tune loft and lie angles for their ideal ball flight.
