Grayson Murray hadn't won on the PGA Tour in over six years entering the final round of the Sony Open. After putting himself in contention all week, Murray made a clutch up-and-down from about 70 yards on the final hole of regulation to qualify for a three-way, sudden-death playoff with Keegan Bradley and Byeong Hun An.

The playoff started eerily for Murray. His tee shot on the par 5 smacked a palm tree, forcing him to lay up while the other two players attempted to reach in the green in two. However, Murray redeemed himself by draining a 39-foot birdie putt, putting the pressure on both Bradley and An to sink their putts. When both missed, Murray was the champion.

Murray's bag features a mix of brands, but is mostly highlighted by Mizuno in the driver, irons, and wedges.

DRIVER: Mizuno ST-X 230

The Mizuno ST-X 230 driver that Murray games is unique in the market. Of the two ST 230 drivers from Mizuno (the other being the ST-Z 230), the ST-X 230 offers a slimmer profile that makes it more workable for players who like to shape their tee shots. With that said, it also offers slightly more heel weighting. This helps fight a slice and can promote a draw. So, for players looking to work the ball off the tee, and that shape often being a draw, the ST-X 230 is a winner. Murray led the field in strokes gained off the tee thanks in large part to his ST-X 230 driver.

FAIRWAY WOODS: Callaway Rogue ST Max (3-wood), Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond (7-wood)

Murray plays a couple of Callaway fairway woods that help make the transition to his irons. His 3-wood is the Callaway Rogue ST Max, a 2022 release from Callaway. With the higher loft option, Murray gets a ton of forgiveness with some added launch capabilities that allow him to hit high, straight shots off the tee or off the turf. The Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond 7-wood offers control and some added forgiveness that help Murray gain stopping power when attempting longer approach shots.

IRONS: Mizuno Pro 225 (4) and Mizuno Pro 221 (5-PW)

Back to Mizuno in the irons for Murray. He, like the majority of tour professionals, plays multiple iron models in his set. The Mizuno Pro 225 4-iron offers added forgiveness and launch where it might be needed on longer approach shots or, perhaps, on shorter, tighter tee shots. However, the Mizuno Pro 221 irons boast a muscle back blade design and a classic Mizuno forged feel. The result is an exceptional blend of soft feel and ultimate control.

WEDGES: Mizuno T24

Mizuno is mostly known in golf for its exceptional forged irons. Not surpringly, their pedigree with forged irons helps them deliver some excellent forged wedges. The Mizuno T24 models offer a supremely soft feel, but a compact shape allows better golfers complete control over their short game shots. Add in a wide array of sole grinds and bounces, and golfers looking to dial in their short games have everything they need with the T24 wedges.

PUTTER: L.A.B. Link.1

L.A.B. is making waves for its unorthodox but extremely high-MOI putter designs that are booming on Tour. For Murray, the L.A.B. Link.1 model is the choice -- and clearly the right one. He sank a number of huge putts throughout the weekend, most notably the 39-footer to win the tournament with the Link.1.
