Our Fitting Process

Trying to sift through the thousands of clubhead-shaft combinations at 2nd Swing can seem like a daunting task. If you know exactly what you need, choosing the right club can be done. But rarely do golfers know both the golf clubs and the specifications that are best suited to their golf swing. That’s where 2nd Swing’s experienced group of club fitters comes in. Through our fitting process, golfers can get an in-depth fitting experience similar to what professionals get each week on Tour.

Step One

Diagnose

In each type of fitting, our club fitters begin by asking the golfer a series of questions and build a solid foundation for the fitting.

Step Two

Fitting Demo Bay

Next, the club fitters will have the customer hit several shots with his or her current equipment to identify common tendencies and numerical data

Step Three

Selection

Each clubhead is compared apples-to-apples using the same shaft, length, setting, and loft to ensure the best possible performance. From there, our fitters find the best shaft and then optimize loft and lie to identify the best performer.

Step Four

Follow Up

After the fitting, our fitters frequently continue to contact their customers to make sure the new clubs are producing positive results on the course.

FAQ

We offer custom fittings for FREE with qualifying purchases of new clubs or with any purchase of used clubs. Meanwhile, customers who purchase new clubs are eligible for a free Tour Van fitting, which includes a custom fitting environment that Tour professionals use to tweak their equipment before events. Tour Van fittings are valued at $100 per hour. For more details on 2nd Swing’s custom fitting process and pricing, look at our pricing menu.

In some cases, our fitters might be able to squeeze in a fitting without an appointment made ahead of time. However, if you’d like to experience a 2nd Swing used club fitting or a Tour Van fitting, we recommend scheduling an appointment. Golfers do have the option to speak with a store associate about a Walk-In fitting with an on-call fitter. These last about 20 minutes and do not require an appointment. During a Walk-In fitting, our staff will recommend clubhead models based on your budget and fit you for shaft flex, length, loft and lie angle.

The fitting call is a 30 minute phone conversation with a certified fitter going over your fitting needs.

Getting static measurements and going over what the golfer's current specs of their clubs: we dive into detail of the golfer's tendencies when it comes to swing and ball flight. Then we discuss the features and benefits of specific makes and models to best fit the golfer's needs.
