The Tech Story
The Cobra OPTM MAX-D Driver is engineered to deliver ultimate slice correction and fairway-finding performance through advanced MOI and POI optimization. Traditionally, MOI has been the benchmark for forgiveness, but POI measures rotation across all three axes—horizontal, vertical, and diagonal—to reduce twisting on off-center hits. By combining high MOI with a 50% reduction in POI and a heel-biased center of gravity, Cobra has created its most stable, draw-biased driver ever, dramatically reducing gear effect for up to 23% tighter dispersion and straighter shots. Using A.I.-driven simulations of millions of impact points, engineers reshaped and redistributed mass symmetrically around the CG for maximum forgiveness. The FutureFit33™ adjustable hosel offers 33 loft and lie settings for ultimate customization without altering face angle, thanks to SMARTPAD® technology. A fixed 11g heel weight promotes higher launch and easier face closure for a draw-biased ball flight, while the forged H.O.T. Face insert enhances face flex for faster ball speeds and longer distance across the hitting area.
