TaylorMade 2019 M2 Driver
Who’s It For?
The new 2019 TaylorMade M2 driver is designed to provide exceptional distance and forgiveness through Geocoustic Technology. TaylorMade has also implemented a few updates over the previous M2 driver that are aimed at increasing inertia at impact and adding ball speed. This driver is primarily built for golfers looking for added distance or forgiveness off the tee. Those with higher swing speeds or golfers looking for more sole weight adjustability will want to look at the TaylorMade M1, M3, or M5 drivers. The 2019 M2 driver is available in men’s and women’s.
The Tech Story
While Geocoustic Technology headlines the innovations found within the new M2 driver from TaylorMade, several other construction updates have also been made to drive performance. For instance, 25 grams of discretionary mass has been relocated low and back in the sole of the clubhead. This was made possible by a lower-density 9-1-1 Titanium body, a lighter six-layer carbon composite crown, and minimal sound ribs. The new M2 also includes a new Speed Pocket that is three times more flexible than it was in the original M2. And of course, Geocoustic Technology combines geometry and acoustical engineering to unlock more forgiveness and excellent sound. Lastly, the new M2 comes with a new four-degree aluminum Loft Sleeve that includes 12 easily-adjustable settings.
