Cobra is making its first jump into the players-distance iron category with the KING Forged Tec irons. The KING Forged Tec irons feature a number of technologies, such as PWRSHELL and a foam-infused core, that provide an excellent combination of looks, ball speed, feel, forgiveness and workability. These irons also come with Cobra Connect technology, which works with the Arccos Caddie smart device app to allow golfers to track their swing data. The Forged Tec irons are best suited for low- and mid-handicappers looking for added distance from their irons and would prefer a more traditional shape.

The Tech Story

The Cobra KING Forged Tec irons check all the players-distance iron boxes, and then some. The classic, forged, muscle-back shape delivers the feel and workability that better players prefer. Meanwhile, the hollow-body construction offers the low center of gravity and added forgiveness that will appeal to mid-handicap golfers. The feel is also enhanced by the foam microspheres that have been inserted into the hollow cavity to fine-tune acoustics and generate a softer feel at impact. Additionally, the PWRSHELL forged face insert maximizes the sweet spot area for a higher launch and faster ball speeds on both center and off-center strikes. To provide even more forgiveness, Cobra engineers added some additional tungsten weighting to the toe that also moves the center of gravity to a better location just behind the hitting zone.
