The Tech Story
The Ping G440 irons introduce a thinner, shallower face design that increases ball speed and offers a player-preferred look. A lower CG system, achieved by redistributing weight from the face, enhances forgiveness and launch. The PurFlex cavity badge contributes to both ball speed and improved feel and sound. Aesthetically, the G440 boasts a premium chrome finish for a high-quality appearance. Design elements like the shorter blade length and thin top line give the G440 a players iron look while maintaining game-improvement forgiveness. Improved set gapping, with longer 4, 5, and 6 irons, promotes consistent distance gaps, and re-configured wedge options simplify selection. Finally, the new AWT 3.0 shaft offers a nonlinear weight progression, optimizing speed in long irons and control in short irons.
