The Tech Story

Engineered to deliver next-generation stability and consistency, the TaylorMade Spider ZT-Max Putter features a high-MOI Spider construction that combines four heavy steel and tungsten corner weights with a lightweight aerospace-grade aluminum body to maximize forgiveness and maintain face stability through impact. A low torque design positions the KBS shaft directly near the center of gravity with 2° of shaft lean and 34 mm of onset, promoting a toe-up orientation that reduces twisting and encourages a more repeatable stroke. The black Pure Roll™ insert, made from a Surlyn and aluminum blend, provides a softer feel while 45° angled grooves enhance forward roll, sound, and overall consistency. Unique sole shaping is specifically engineered to complement the hosel configuration, improving how the putter sits at address and helping golfers establish a more reliable setup across varying ball positions. Completing the design, the milled True Path™ alignment system incorporates precision-milled lines the width of a golf ball, delivering clear visual feedback to help golfers consistently find center face and roll putts with greater accuracy.
