Callaway Apex DCB 21 Single Iron
Who’s It For?
Callaway’s new Apex DCBs are forged, high-performing game-improvement irons that boast more forgiveness than any other iron in the Apex line. With a new forged 1025 mild body and Callaway’s patented urethane microspheres, the Apex DCB irons feature an excellent blend of sound and feel at impact. As opposed to Callaway’s other 2021 iron offerings, the Apex 21 Pros and Apex 21s, the Apex DCB Irons are intended for mid-handicappers and above, specifically those with a handicap index at or above 12.
The Tech Story
This year, for the first time, Callaway’s engineers utilized artificial intelligence while designing their irons. This process was critical in creating the new Flash Face Cup technology, which promotes high-COR strikes that generate huge ball speeds and consistent spin numbers. With a large amount of offset and a moderate topline, this iron set presents a very welcoming, easy-to-hit aesthetic at address. The new Callaway DCB’s deep cavity back and wide sole are engineered to enhance turf interaction, allowing golfers to launch the ball with ease from a variety of lies. Finally, thanks to the new Tungsten Energy Core implemented in the Apex DCB Irons, these clubs produce consistently high ball speed numbers, even on off-center strikes.
