Callaway Mack Daddy CB Wedge

Who’s It For?

While so much emphasis is being placed on distance lately, the short game still carries just as much weight, if not more. Many mid- to high-handicap golfers fit into iron sets that feature a cavity-back club construction, but then use wedges with a blade construction. The Callaway Mack Daddy CB wedges offer a forgiving, cavity-back option for mid- to high-handicap golfers so that the transition from irons to wedges can be smoother.

The Tech Story

The Callaway Mack Daddy CB is designed to deliver consistency, especially for those golfers that might not make contact with the center of the clubface every time. The wedges are shaped by legendary wedge designer Roger Cleveland and include two different sole grinds. In the lower lofts, the full sole delivers iron-like turf interaction with moderate bounce. Meanwhile, the higher lofts feature a modified W grind that adds forgiveness out of bunkers and thick rough but also includes a low leading edge for open-faced shots. While the cavity-back, game-improvement shaping offers playability that blends better with iron sets, spin and control is not sacrificed. Callaway’s proprietary JAWS grooves provide precise edge sharpness on every groove for maximum grip and spin from all types of lies. The highest-lofted options feature grooves that stretch across the entire clubface to allow for every bit of spin possible.
