The GoLo 5 DB is a single bend shafted mallet with a full shaft offset, making it a great option for players with a straight putting stroke. This putter also offers players that use an anchored stroke an alternative to long, "belly putters" by adding weight to the putter head as well as the butt end of the shaft. This changes the balance point of the putter, moving it closer to the hands, to mimic the stability of an anchored stroke without the need to actually brace the club against the player's body. Like the rest of the 2015 GoLos, this model uses a new multi-material construction to deliver soft feel and stability, no matter where on the face you make contact with the ball. This is achieved thanks to Scotty's face-sole core, a light aluminum insert that makes up a majority of the sole and face of the putter. This design not only distributes most of the weight from the heavier, stainless steel body to the perimeter for a greater moment of inertia (MOI), but it also provides the feel of an insert throughout the entire face-especially for players that tend to strike the ball off-center low. The insert also serves as a sight line to help players line up square to their target line. The result is a forgiving putter that meets Scotty Cameron's standard and reputation for soft feel and high performance so you really can go low.
